Hey guys! I know, it has been a while! Things have been pretty crazy around my house. If you don't know, I have three young daughters and our third is just about to start walking...so yea. FUN! :-/
Even as busy as I have been, I have been getting some time to work with some awesome people for some shoots. Most recently, I had a chance to shoot Breanna S. Some of you might know her, or seen some of her pictures floating around town. I love how they came out, and by the responses I have seen from you all on social media, you do too!
Do you have any story where you and some friends had an idea that turned out to be a TERRIBLE one, but it ended up being fun and will always be a good memory!? Well, Breanna and I did too!
As you'll see in the other photos, we decided to go shoot in right after the first snowfall of the year, here in Bismarck, ND...lesson learned! I do love the contrast that came from all the fresh snow, but it also happened to be about 10 degrees without and -5 with wind chill. FUN!
The first challenge that we encountered was with my gear. Oops. Who'd have thought that it can be cold enough outside to FOG the inside of my lenses!! Well, I didn't! For those that don't know, lenses are comprised of many pieces of glass. Some lenses have up to 30 pieces of glass or elements.

I was actually a little impressed by this, just because the lenses I have are completely weather sealed and theoretically, moisture doesn't get into the lens, yet there it was! Condensed right between elements to the point that I wasn't even able to focus the shot.
This turned out to be an easy fix and a nice break from the cold, hanging out in the car and letting the gear (and us) warm up. Even though we had to go back and forth from the car and outside to shoot, I thought that it was a really good time and we got some great shots to come from it.
